Make a kids story book in LitPal
Make a full kids story book in LitPal: write the idea, create the main character, generate the pages, review every page, fix a picture with AI and save.
Follow one real book from the idea to the finished pages. The lesson makes a 24-page story, finds a page where the picture and the text don't match, and fixes it.
Step by step
Start a kids story
On Create book, choose Kids story. Add a title and the story, choose the page count, then set up your main character and pick a style. Describe your character clearly in the story, because that helps them look the same from page to page. Still check every page when it's done.
Watch it generate
Click Generate Kids Book. Your book opens right away and the pages come in one by one. The book in this lesson took just under six minutes, and that part is sped up in the video.
Review every page
Click Fit page and go through the whole book. Check the character, the hands and faces, and the text, and make sure the story makes sense from start to finish. To fix a picture, click it, type your change in the AI changes bar and click Edit. Compare the two versions side by side, then click Keep.
Make it yours
Open Elements to add something to a page, drag it into place and pull a corner to resize it. Undo and Redo take back any mistake. Keep things away from the edge of the page, and use the KDP check to confirm nothing is too close.
Save
Before you leave, make sure the top bar says Saved. The next step is a cover that matches your book.
